I was thrilled when Pat contacted me about his and Anke’s maternity photo session!  I was so happy for them to become first time parents.  This session was one of my first sessions being “back to work” since COVID-19.  I felt pretty lost not being able to do family photo session, weddings and like when everything shut down.  Now, thanks to all of you, I’m back in full swing (aside from weddings, unfortunately)!

I couldn’t image being pregnant, about to bring a child into the world when at the time, there were so many unknowns about this virus!  I wasn’t able to capture hospital hellos for new parents because of all the regulations put in order which saddened them and me.  So much of what I do is documenting life and family.  Seeming a perfect time to document the changing the world around us.  But, I was  able to being deemed “non-essential.”  In true COVID-19 fashion, we had to document them in masks to remember what their pregnancy was about!  It was the perfect evening accompanied by a beautiful sunset.  It feels so good to be back doing what I love!
